The Epson Stylus SX200 is a rather cool looking multi-function inkjet printer, but looks are not the most important thing to consider when buy this type of printer. More important factors to consider are quality and speed and running costs. Epson SX200 ink cartridges are affordable which is a refreshing change when it comes to printer cartridges for a budget multifunction inkjet, a set of genuine Epson ink cartridges can be picked up fro around £30. Printing quality is excellent thanks to the SX200’s impressive 5760 x 1440dpi which is the highest in its class. Printing speed however is less impressive, although the official figures sate the stylus SX200 is able to print 34ppm (pages per minute) this is quoted in draft quality where the print is barely readable and not suitable been for general use. The standard quality setting is the most commonly used setting and the speed is reduce to 4ppm printing half a page of text on each sheet in this setting. The Stylus SX200 is not just a printer though its also a scanner which works well for general tasks and comes with bundle software for things like removing red eye from photos and similar other photo editing. The SX200 also has a built in copier functions which has a number of useful features such as one touch copying and even work without the need to be connected to a PC.
